IBM Canada and Dell Canada announce new Web appliance servers designed to take advantage of the Business Internet capabilities in Windows 2000

Canadian Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and systems integrators are getting behind Microsoft Windows 2000 with new Web-hosting appliance servers designed to run Windows 2000 technologies. IBM Canada and Dell Canada both recently announced Web-hosting appliances designed specifically to leverage the internet-enabling capabilities in Windows 2000, and systems integrators like GE Capital IT Solutions are developing integrated Windows based solutions for these hardware offerings.

These new Web-hosting appliances, both developed in cooperation with Microsoft, build on the overwhelmingly positive customer response to Microsoft Windows 2000 and the increasing customer demand for fixed-function Web-hosting servers optimized to run Windows 2000 technologies.
