Rapid Site Japan, Inc. Releases A New Type Of Hosting Services

Rapid Site Japan, Inc. has announced that from May 1, 2002, the company will offer a new type of hosting service known as "Virtual Private Server (VPS)." The new hosting service provides a level of performance comparable to exclusive servers while maintaining the ease of use of shared servers.

Rapid Site Japan, Inc. belongs to the GMO Group and is headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. The company is capitalized at 10 million yen, and the president is Mitsuru Aoyama.

VPS is a new style of high-performance shared server developed by Verio in the United States, which has experience in providing operations for 600,000 companies across 130 countries around the world. VPS adopts many of the advantages of exclusive servers, such as operation of multiple domains and stable server operation. Hardware such as servers is shared but available software (Web, FTP, POP/IMAP, etc.) can be used independently. Also, since Rapid Site deals with server monitoring to protect against malicious attacks and prepared for performing backups, the server administrator is able to focus on the development of the site.
