Verio, SimpleNet And OLM License Miva Corporation Technology

Miva® Corporation, a leading provider of Web commerce software, today announced that it has signed site license agreements with Verio, SimpleNet and OLM. The arrangement enables each hosting company's Web servers with Miva Empresa™, an application engine designed to empower individual users with Miva Script™ for the creation and deployment of e-commerce applications and data-driven Web sites. Miva Script is a server-side, XML-based scripting language used by more than 30,000 developers worldwide.

Miva Empresa is designed to assist busy site administrators manage application execution for thousands of Miva Script users. The application engine platform, which implements Miva Script, is plugged into virtually any Web server using standard APIs such as CGI and ISAPI. Once the engine has been plugged into a Web server, files with certain extensions are automatically parsed and deployed by the engine. A special desktop version of the engine is also available for Windows that can be used to test applications locally before deployment.

Web hosting companies and ISPs can use the execution environment to configure their systems on a global, per domain and per user basis for virtual domain setup, multiple user configuration, sandboxed execution and performance tuning.
